  2010 Seminar

January - February

Purpose of the Seminar
Trinity University recruits San Antonio area secondary school teachers who would like to participate in a spring 2010 seminar series aimed at enhancing instruction on East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea) in their courses on social studies, world history, world geography, world cultures, and world literature. Teachers with special interests in Asia or who teach about Asia in other kinds of courses are also welcome in the program.

Participants will earn Continuing Professional Education credit and a bundle of texts and reference materials (book list).

The 30+hour seminar series is part of a Freeman Foundation-funded initiative called the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA). The seminar will take place over a period of several weeks, meeting on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings beginning January 16, 2010. There will be a field trip to San Antonio Museum of Art included
