We are currently conducting several studies of children's
language development.

We schedule appointments on campus, and also conduct some research at nearby preschools in the area.

Most of our games include either objects or actions that will be familiar to children (e.g., an elephant), as well as several new objects and/or actions. We are able to design these games so that they can show us how children respond to different contexts and different ways of talking about objects and actions. Children usually enjoy these games and are enthusiastic about participating. However, parents and their children are free to withdraw from the study at any time. Parents will receive a summary of the results of this study after its completion, and children receive a small gift for participating.
