To answer the questions in the assignment, you'll need to use a combination of information sources.

Start with the item in hand.

Then, try to determine what the industries involved in your product are. Industries are classified and named by different entities.

For researching Industries:

Business Source Complete--keyword search, Industry Profiles

EuroMonitor--Search, Menu Search, Find Category=(keyword) select geography, create tables, export.

General and trade press coverage: the Economist, Business Source Complete, Lexis-Nexis

Industry Websites--Google 'em.

For researching individual companies:

Hoovers

Business Source Complete--keyword search, Industry Profiles

Lexis-Nexis

Present your findings in three ways:

textually (MS Word)

graphically (MS Excel--original graphs only, please!)

cartographically (Google Maps)
