Spiders on Drugs
Original concept by Darcy Brooker and Melanie King
Spiders on drugs is a series of short animated skits demonstrating the effects of various drugs when administered too spiders.
EXT. (LS) HALF FINISHED SPIDERWEB
(CU) A very red eyed spider is eating the web.

EXT. (LS) SPIDERWEB ON IT’S SIDE
(WS) The spider is jumping up and down on the web like it is a trampoline. Fly’s buzz around above the web.
(MS) spider reaches the extent of his jump, projects his tongue like a frog and catches a fly before dropping back down into the web for another leap.

EXT. (LS) HALF FINISHED AND POORLY MADE
(CU) Spider’s eyes dart from left to right (worried expression). The spiders whole body shakes, teeth chatter. Occasionally the spider lets out short screams with flash bulb eyes.

EXT. (LS) HALF FINISHED SPIDERWEB
(MS) Vomits all over his web, has pieces of food(carrot, pizza) hanging from the web.
(CU) A piece of carrot bounces and dangles from the web.

EXT. (LS) HALF FINISHED SPIDERWEB
The camera pans around an empty web then follows a single strand to the ground where the spider lies upside-down dead from an overdose.

EXT. HALF FINISHED SPIDERWEB
(CU) The Spider explodes

EXT. (LS) HALF FINISHED SPIDERWEB
A blue blur zooms franticly around the half-finished web.
(WS) Spiders web. A blur of blue can be seen darting backward and forward followed by small trail of fire. Each passing of the spider is accompanied by the sound of a bullet ricochet.
Spider stops, small fires burn all around. Flash bulb eyes dart from left to right.
(Speaks so fast the dialogue cant be understood.) Like chipmunks
“bla bla bla da da “
Eyes bulge
“he he he ehe”
Spider takes-of in a blue blur and another trail of fire. Darts backward and forward again.
(LS) Spider web burns down. Spider catches on fire and falls from the web.

EXT. (MCU) SPIDER SPINING WEB
Spider’s head is bobbing up and down while the thump thump thump of rave music can be heard and various coloured lights flash on and off.
Spider stops.
(CU) Spiders abdomen
Spider’s abdomen is bobbing up and down in time with the music and spraying web into the shape of a spiders leg.
(WS) Shows that spider has been working on a female spider made of web.
Spider jumps onto the back of the artificial spider and starts humping it.
Lights and music continues to play.

EXT. SPIDERWEB IN THE SHAPE OF A CHRISTMAS TREE. - DAY
Spider is standing proud with a cape held in front of his chest.
(Yelling) “I can do anything…..for I…
am the lizard…KING!”
Looks down to see dozens of small purple people crawling all over him making strange yum yum noises.
(POV) Camera pans franticly from one purple person to another
(Yelling) “Ahhh!”
(CU) The purple people are getting closer to his head.
(Screeming)“….get’ em of me…. …Ahhhhrrrrr!”
