Economic Theory of Illegal Immigration: A Survey of Literature


ABSTRACT

This paper is a survey of work on the economic theory of illegal immigration. In its first part, it classifies and describes the existent theoretical studies dealing with illegal immigration. In its second part, it reviews the conclusions of the studies which conduct simulations on the effects of changes in immigration laws. Finally, the paper speculates on further topics for research.
