Ovulation

Forty-six years ago, I began studying ovulation as a graduate student at Florida State University. I have prepared several lengthy reviews on this topic in 1994 and in 2006 (the latter consisting of a preliminary draft for this website).  Also, I have published a brief review on ovulation, and this article is recommended reading for beginners in the field. At present, our knowledge of the ovulatory process is changing rapidly because of increasing information about the specific genes that are expressed in ovarian tissue in response to an ovulatory dose of gonadotropic hormone.

Several recent manuscripts on such gene expression are available on another page of this website.
