We interviewed a few Trinity students and members of the community about their home schooling experience.

Survey Questions

1. Which parent was the primary teacher?
2. How many hours a day were spent doing schoolwork?
3. Was the time schedule rigid?
4. Was there a distinction between class-work and homework?
5. Did you study on the weekends?
6. Were family vacations educationally based?
7. During school time do you refer to your parent as Mom or Dad?
8. Did you have a social circle with other kids your age?
9. Did you have friends at regular schools?
10. Did you ever feel left out of the high school experience?

Some Interesting Findings

• All respondents reported that their mother was the primary teacher.

• All respondents call their parents "mom" or "dad" during school hours.

• Most reported that their family vacations were often educationally based.

• All reported having social circles with kids their age.

• Two respondents felt that home schooling put a strain on the parent child relationship.
