The search box above will search JSTOR, Grove Art Online, and the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians simultaneously. These are the three databases we used in class in the library.
Digging beyond your initial searches
You may find that you need to dig a little deeper for more information and
sources. These will be helpful links.
Art/Art History Resources:
resources here to consult will include Art Abstracts and Bibliography of the
History of Art (BHA). Most useful is looking at a specific piece of art or
architecture.
History Resources: Databases here will lead you to scholarly history articles.
Medieval and Renaissance Studies Resources: Scholarly databases related to Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Less full-text options, but remember how to track the citation and find what we have. You can always interlibrary loan what we do not have.
Music Resources: like the art resources, these will be most helpful for specific music-related topics.
Don't forget Quest, the library catalog to find books on your topic too!
Remember to cite your sources correctly or use RefWorks before you have your bibliography signed.
