TU - HHMI Center for Peer Learning Layout
The Center for Peer Learning:
The Peer Tutors hold office hours and meet individually with students in our Center for Peer Learning (the CPL). This is “student-owned and operated” space in Moody Engineering Building (home to chemistry and engineering and in the heart of the science buildings). It contains approximately 700 square feet of space with a central meeting room measuring 18 X 22 and four offices, each about 12 X 14 feet (see Figure 1A-C). The central room has two computers, data projection, a large conference table with 18 chairs, and white boards. Each office has two desks with chairs, a white board, two computers, a printer, and a work table with chairs. In practice, the room is staffed by at least one Peer Tutor every evening until at least 11 PM. During the day it is open for student use. HHMI funds purchased CPL computers. Trinity University funds remodeled the space, and purchased new furnishing and data projection.
