One of the goals of the Trinity University - Howard Hughes Medical Institute program is to transform our student culture. A HHMI Center for Peer Learning (CPL) has been established and is the focus of interdisciplinary tutoring and group learning for students in introductory science classes. Peer tutors staff the CPL and join with science faculty and postdoctoral fellows to form interdisciplinary curriculum teams. Each year we designate and support ten students as HHMI Undergraduate Research Fellows who participate with an interdisciplinary research team on an ongoing research project during the summer.
