The Fiesta Oyster Bake is one of the oldest fiesta events and KRTU is proud to be a part of it.  This years Jazz Stage features the St. Mary's combo, Paul Elizondo's Big Band and Sexto Sol.

The Fiesta Jazz Festival is dedicated to presenting the finest national, regional and local jazz artists. College and University jazz bands will take the stage during the afternoon alongside established San Antonio jazz artists. The event builds to the World Class Fiesta Jazz Concert, with Bassist Rufus Reid and his trio who will close out the night.

The 45th annual Fiesta Jazz Band Festival is San Antonio’s oldest educational jazz festival, attracting high school and middle school jazz ensembles from Texas and other states. Participants perform for criticism before a panel of renowned jazz clinicians. Trophies and awards are given for outstanding performances in various categories. Special jazz clinics take place throughout the day including a mid-day clinic by this years Fiesta Jazz Artist, Rufus Reid. Past clinicians have included Dizzy Gillespie, Bunky Green, Kenny Garrett and Terence Blanchard. Enjoy the jazz artists of tomorrow performing for Fiesta.
