Instructions for Trinity Faculty: accessing Senate Documents

This (public) web site provides contact information for the Trinity University Faculty Senate. For proposals, documents, and other data, see the private web site on TUCC12.

Windows users with Internet Explorer, you can access this area by clicking on the following URL (you may even wish to bookmark it for later use: file:\\\\its-harris\Departmentsdfs\FacultySenate\index.html

Everyone else should browse to Workgroup TRINITY, then access the share called "Tucc12\DepartmentsDFS" and open the folder FacultySenate. Inside is the file index.html, and after loading this up in your web browser (perhaps even bookmarking it), everything should work just as for Windows users.

Senate Core Mission

“In the interest of promoting the well-being of the University, the Faculty Senate represents the faculty in professional matters and works with the Administration to formulate, interpret, and implement general university policy.”

Senate agenda for 2008-2009

The Senate will work to address the following issues:

Directly involve the faculty in setting the Senate’s agenda through surveys and direct Senate-to-faculty meetings.
Monitor the implementation of new processes for the evaluation of courses and faculty.
Advocate for better total compensation for faculty.
Explore the implications of a 3/2 teaching load for faculty.
Better inform the Senate on University-wide challenges and opportunities.
Strengthen faculty governance overall.
