| HOW TO PRINT OR SAVE AN ARTICLE: To make
an offprint of an essay, select either "FILE/PRINT" or click on the
"PRINT" button while you are in the essay file. To save the article on your
computer to read at a later time, go to "FILE/SAVE AS." When the Save dialog box
appears, you can save it either as an html file to view in your browser program, or as a
text file to read in your word processing program. Choose "SAVE AS TYPE:" and
select either "HTML File" (*.html) or "Plain Text (*.txt)." Please
note: if you save as plain text, be sure to change the suffix of the file name from .html
to .txt in the "FILE NAME" box.
If you
have problems printing, the following options are available: If you are not able to load
the essay file, choose the ".pdf version" available on the table of contents
page. This version is a formatted file than can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader,
(downloadable for free from by click on the icon at the beginning of this paragraph.).
Such files are best printed out by using the Adobe's "print as images" option.
If you are not able to print out the entire essay at once, try printing out the article
a few pages at a time. After invoking the "FILE/ PRINT" command or clicking on
the "PRINT" button, use the printer dialog box to specify the number of pages to
print. This will reduce the number of pages sent to the "printer spool" at one
time.
"Transfer interrupted" produces a faulty version of the website on your
computer. This is caused by an interruption of the flow of information "packets"
in transit to your computer. The website itself remains intact and is not the source of
the problem. If your reload button does not fix the problem, clear your disk cache and
initiate a new entry to the website by typing in the URL again. When you reach the
website, re-install your bookmark. |
