The lab exercise titled Candle in a Box provides a protocol for designing an experiment, collecting and analyzing the data, and modeling extensions of the concept. The exercise can be accessed at different levels of complexity and equipment availability. For optimum value, computers, Vernier temperature recording devices, and selected software are needed. "Lab Exercise" represents a downloadable hard copy of the protocol. " Interactive Lab" is a step by step WEB walk through the exercise. "M/SET99 Abstract", "Final Paper", and "Power Point Presentation" are formal descriptions of the project as presented at the AACE M/SET March '99 Conference.
