Assessment Program
Each lab instructor may vary grading policy and weights for his/her particular lab section. Below is the "generalized" grading structure for the course.
1) Six 20-minute quizzes, non-comprehensive, held every two weeks during the semester - 50%
2) Final Practical Exam - a common comprehensive examination given to all lab sections the evening of May 1 - 30%
3) Additional Work - this may be in the form of lab reports, presentations, student-designed experiments - 20%
Student Conduct
1) Students are expected to participate in every weeks lab. If due to illness or schedule conflict a lab is missed, a student must make up the missed work. If absence can be anticipated, it might be possible to attend a different lab section during the week. Talk to your lab instructor about this possibility.
2) Students will conform to the published Academic Responsibility Policies and the Computer Use Policies of the University.
3) Proper attire for lab should be attended; and, no food or drink in the labs.
