Winter Scenes from the White Mountains in 2005
Bob Jensen at Trinity University
Starting on November 9, 2004 cold morning I took some pictures of some mountains in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains as seen from our living room. You can see four mountains (Jeffersen, Adams, Clay, and Washington) with Mt. Washington having the highest peak. The Presidential Range is about thirty miles from our house. Closer in about ten miles away we have such mountains as Garfield, Sleeping Baby, Lafayette, Lincoln, Cannon, the Three Graces, Kinsman, and South Kinsman. We had some snow at our elevation last week, but most of if melted down here.
New Hampshire gets about 65 inches of snow on average each winter, but it is nearly double that up here (or so it seems when I pay my snow plowing bills).
