| I. The common curriculum | ||
| II. Departmental requirements: | ||
| A. | Completion of 21 semester hours, of which no more than 3 may be lower division (2302). Upper division will include CHIN 4351 (Classical Chinese). | ||
| B. | Completion of one of the following additional requirements: | ||
| 1.

Nine additional semester hours of upper division courses in Chinese. Students have the option of substituting up to 9 semester hours from the following: CHIN 2311, HIST 3371, MLL 3301, 3302, PHIL 3328 and RELI 3333. | ||
| 2. | The lower division courses, or the equivalent, and at least 3 semester hours of upper division courses in a second foreign language. | ||
The requirements for a minor in Chinese are as follows:
| Completion of at least 18 semester hours, of which no more than 6 may be lower division. | ||
| A minimum of 12 hours toward the minor must be completed at Trinity. |
