November 1, 2000 Agenda

Minutes, courtesy of secretary Brian Lowenberg

Attending this wonderfully small meeting: Ms. Bathroom, The Lisa (Item friendly might I add), The Crow, Kristi "Run" Davis, The Tall Michelle, all three K's (Keisling, Kimpel, and Kelly), Scout Martin, M in Minor, Whitty Princess, qswinson, and athomps3. Everybody else, well...y'all pretty much suck. Please keep sending me excuses otherwise: kiss your honor goodbye.

1.  "Go Be Service"- that's why we got here...let's continue. ZOOBOO was fun except for that one kid who got tossed into the Lion's pit. Dormstorm happened even though I couldn't make it to campus--thanks for the ride. Chandler Estates: "What is Chandler Estates?"- Stacy Kelly well- we play bingo, do something with wreaths, and we get to smell that "old people smell", what more could you want?

2.  We ripped on Charlie a little bit.  I think he was playing frisbee or something.

3.  Social?  11/15 at JOEY's -WAHOO!!! controversy lasted 12 seconds. We're all going.

4.  Fiesta Fair cost us $12, not to mention the fact that my shirt is still in its packaging.

5.  INDUCTION- well it seems we're smarter than the new class.  Our GPA cutoff was 3.5, theirs is 3.47...I knew it. 11/6 Applications were due. We bent over the table for the registar to get us names.  I knew there was a benefit to online registration. Tips for interviews- read them.  Use them. Be them. Are they going to be bitter if we reject them? Can we reject them for smelling bad? PLAN: we rank applicants using the Bebell Curve First we rank them using a scale for our three prized traits, from that points are totalled up, the top 33% are given admission unless their are objections.  The second 33% are debated, while we take the standard deviation, cross-apply the negated matrice, then add 100 , divide by 2, multiply by their age and add points for how tall they are...now we're just as bad as law schools. Wait, we also have to rank their essays...even grad schools, don't do that! we gotta take a lot of members:30 We want "smart, well-rounded individuals who can commit"...hmmmm...sounds like my standards for a relationship. SOCIAL on Sunday: Bring your food.  we like to mooch. get there at 1:15. Door signs..then party after voting, or is it during, I can't remember. 11/19

INduction: Bring a prof, Lisa is going to make us perform.  Do we get to hand out real keys.  They look cool, but they cost a whole $9 each.  We didn't get them.  First the door signs, now this. Do they get cars too? 11/20 and 11/21- Business Casual with Blue Ribbons.  Be sure to tell people that we are not really rotary. 11/29 Social with Old and New

6.  No Susan = No website

7.  The Money from our dues: "where does it go?!"- Ricky K "Honor Cords...all of it"... and that corrupt guy somewhere in Connetticutt.

8.  History of Blue Key by Lisa we used to be a fraternity full of only guys but then something happened...oh yeah...that whole civil rights thing. Girls outnumber guys in the Frat 4 to 1. Email me with conflicts to any of the dates above or from Lisa's reminders

Your Humble Secretarian, Brian Lowenberg
