Minutes of the BK September 19 Meeting

Hi Blue Key,

First things first: No meeting this Wed. 9/20!

The ROSTER is attached to this message- Anna Keisling, Emily Boles and Jamie Naiser, please get me your info. Everyone else- please tell me if it is not correct.

PHONATHON is Wed. night for Blue Key. Training is from 5-6, and calling lasts until 9:30. You MUST train before you call this year, even if you have called in previous years! To receive service credit, you must stay for at least 2 hours after training to call. If you are calling for Blue Key or Mortar Board some other night, please let me know. It will be fun-see you there!

PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND an informal honor code forum on THURS. 9/21 at 8 p.m. in the Tigers' Den. As academic leaders on campus your input and understanding of the honor code are crucial. If you have questions about the possibility of a Trinity Honor Code, please email me.

My stuff:

We have a new advisor! Dr. Fischer is our new savior, and he seems really excited. Unbeknownst (sp?) to us, Dr. Roy actually resigned at the end of last year. We are still working out the details, but Dr. Fischer will be great.

The Rubric/Smart Start: it will happen next week. I need you to volunteer to talk to at least 3 classes, and I will email you by Thursday with the details and expect a reply soon. We will meet beforehand at Coates to tell you what to do for this.

Still no news on our certificates from National Blue Key Meghan's stuff (service): See above reminder about phonathon.

We have another project in the works as well, and we'll let you know the date once it is decided.

Whitney's stuff (social): What do you think of Tues., Oct. 3 at Flats? Who CANNOT make it then- let me know by Fri., 9/22, or you will be counted out. We went for a Tues., because on Wed. nights they card. If too many people will have to miss out, we will move it back to Wed. (sorry, Rick).

Rick's stuff (treasurer): We have $$! Our current budget is at $1,456.03 Not bad, I think. Dr. Fischer has also offered to subsidize some of our projects, should we seem worthy : ) Rick is also going to check out who still owes us for what (you cannot escape).

Susan's Stuff (webmistress): It is in the works. Email her with ideas, graphics, or requests. It will be pretty basic at the beginning stages, but I think that we can elaborate once we get it onto the server.

Absences: after our first meeting, Josh Elzy and Anna Keisling remain the only unexcused absences. Please talk to me if you disagree with this.
