7:30 Tuesday, October 4th
Faculty-Student Mixer! Coordinator: Mandy Zuckman. A night of piano playing and noshing in the Coates Lobby with our friends to bring in a sweet New Year! Apples and honey, petit fours, fruit and veggie trays, cookies, brownies, coffee and juice!

8:45 Thursday, October 12th
Kol Nidre evening services at Temple Beth El. Start the fast!!

10:45 Thursday, October 13th
Yom Kippur morning services at Temple Beth El. Service event: donated over 20 lbs. of canned goods from the JSA to the San Antonio Food Bank!

5:00 Monday, October 17th
Sukkah build! From 5:00PM to 8:30PM a dedicated team worked, measured, drilled, lifted, and ate pizza to get our sukkah up and off the ground!

6:00 Tuesday, October 18th
Sukkah dinner and service! Buffet style harvest feast: kosher brisket, field green salad, garlic mashed potatoes, integrated rolls, wild field rice, mixed vegetables, and Happy Sukkot sheet cake, tea and water. Light worship led by Josh “Shai” Nowitz afterwards. Excellent turnout from campus family, staff, administrators and, of course, JSA and friends.

5:00 Wednesday, November 3rd
Sukkah deconstruction! A small team dismantled, un-drilled, lifted, and stored all sukkah pieces for next year!!

8:00 Monday, November 7th
Third JSA monthly meeting. Hanukkah planning, nominations. Focus: birthright Israel from Anna Grossman!

5:00 Monday, November 21st
Dialogue on Race and Religion, co-sponsored with Gaelic Cultural Society (GCS). Topic: Political cartoons and stereotypes, with group discussion. Coordinator: Robin Keller.

Monday, January 30th

First JSA monthly meeting! Planning for Passover, “Our Tears Still Flood the City” and more!

Friday, March 3rd

Shabbat Across America services at Temple Shalom. Invited for reform services and dinner at the Jewish Community Center. Mixed with UTSA’s Hillel group.

Wednesday, March 8th

Unofficial Purim Party at Sarah’s house. Costumes required, lots of munchies and beverages for all! Fun pictures!

Monday, March 20th

Second JSA monthly meeting. Nominees for Cultural Festival, DRR coordinators, and volunteer call for “Our Tears.”

Saturday, April 8th

“Our Tears Still Flood the City” performance. JSA volunteers as ushers, two members served as backstage technicians! Great show! Over 500 turnout, raising $5,000 for the United Way.

Wednesday, April 12th

Passover Seder in the Skyline room. Over 22 in attendance, full seder service catered by Aramark and the Jewish Community Center’s kosher brisket.
