MISSION STATEMENT
It is the
mission of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Straight Alliance (LGBSA) to increase
understanding and acceptance at Trinity of all members who share common
interests in issues regarding sexuality and sexual orientations. By this, LGBSA
exists as social educator and awareness organization addressing issues with
relation to homosexuality, bisexuality and heterosexuality.

OBJECTIVES
To provide a learning environment for the greater Trinity community that
acknowledges and addresses current issues facing lesbian, gay, and bisexual
groups.
To provide a supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff who are
completely or in any way uncomfortable with coming out as gay, lesbian, or
bisexual.
To offer support to heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual individuals who are
victims of discrimination, harassment, or violence.
To broaden the knowledge of L.G.B.S.A. members and Trinity community members
on issues related to sexuality and sexual orientation.
To promote social, political, and educational involvement of L.G.B.S.A.
members and Trinity community members regarding homosexual, heterosexual, and
bisexual issues.
To provide an inviting environment to all individuals of the Trinity community
who are interested in learning about issues related to sexuality and sexual
orientation.
Lesbian Gay Bisexual Straight Alliance is a registered student organization. Registered student
organizations are voluntary associations of Trinity students which exist to
pursue special interests or social activities. Status as a registered student
organization implies neither approval or disapproval of the purposes of the
organization and is not an endorsement of any such organization's purposes or
activities.
