Map Network Drives Mapping network drives will allow you to easily locate the online resources available to you, including a personal space for you to store your files and folders that is backed up every night. This will only take a few minutes. 1. Click the Windows logo (Start) , go to All Programs > Accessories, then click Run. Type in \\tucc-tiger and press Enter.
2. You will be asked to enter a username and password. Enter your Trinity Username and Password. You must place trinity\ in front of your User ID. You should now have access to Tucc-Tiger.
3. Windows Vista does not automatically setup drive mappings to Tucc-Tiger. To set them up, Right-Click on the folder you wish to map and then select Map Network Drive.
4. Ensure that Reconnect at logon is checked and cick Finish. Using this method, map the following folders:
5. Now you need to map your personal user folder to the Y: drive. Click the Windows logo (Start), then click Computer. Now, at the top-right, click Map network drive.
6. Select "Y:" as the drive from the drop-down menu. For the folder, type: \\tucc-tiger\Users\ and then your own username, as shown below. Ensure that Reconnect at logon is checked and click Finish.
7. You should now see your personal network folder, mapped to Y:, with the other drives on your machine, under Computer.
You now have full access to all of the network drives. Proceed now to Download Microsoft Office. |
