Proposal: (coming Soon)

Final Project Drafting:

52 and less        Not very good at all.  Shows a lack of  understanding or interest in drafting as a means of communication.

52.5-69 points  The drawing is reasonably clear.  It follows the drafting convention explained in class and in the text including layout and relationship of views. A competent scenic carpenter could build this with a lot of additional information.

60-67 points  The above and...A competent scenic carpenter could build this..with some additional explanation.  The lay out is neat, clear and follows standard drafting convention as outlined in class.

67.5-75 points   The above and...The drawing could be handed to any competent scenic carpenter and they would build exactly what you envisioned. The drawing is clear, concise and accurate.  Any addition information not explained in the drafting has been explained clearly with clearly written notes on the drafting.

Final Project:

88       Finished and on time.  Done is good.  Done on time is even better, especially in the world of theater.  Any project completed on time, that is competently constructed and does not fall apart when moved will receive 88 points (C-)

89-99 points  Project is pretty square but not perfect.  Joints are a bit off but pretty close.  Could be put on stage with considerable sanding and puttying. (up to a C+)

100-112 points Construction is near perfect.  This is ready for the stage with minimal finishing.

113-125 points  Construction is flawless (or mistakes have been fully corrected).  Exhibits an absolute understand of goals for the project.  More that appropriate for stage use, it looks good when viewed up close.  Obvious extra effort.
