Mike Guerra- Head Anchor
Mike is a Rio Grande Valley native and a Senior majoring in Communication and International Studies with an emphasis on Latin American studies. Mike began in the Communication department in radio as Chief Reporter for KRTU’s Tiger Football Weekly. After a brief stint as a political anchor for the “Not So Late Show,” Mike joined the Newswave team in 2007. Mike says, “This is a great group of individuals, and I’m happy to be a part of this team.”
Mike's passion for the arts has allowed him to appear in numerous productions in Trinity’s Theatre Department. Mike recently worked on Trinity’s Independent Film, Raise the Stakes, which is coming soon. Mike says, “Muchas gracias a mi familia por todo” and encourages viewers to email him with story ideas.
Danielle Girard- Head Anchor
Danielle is a junior double majoring in Communication and Drama and minoring in Film Studies. Her other interests include jamming to classic rock, attending live music, and singing along with musicals. She enjoys interpretative dance, awkward moments, and giggling. Danielle is often found with her nose in a book or dancing around her dorm room.
Lindsay Landgraf-Weather Anchor
Lindsay is a Junior, and a Drama and Communication double major from Fort Worth. She hopes to one day work in either broadcast journalism or public relations. Lindsay is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau sorority, the AcaBellas, Trinity Choir, and TUPs. She loves hanging out with her friends, eating Taco Bueno, and watching Disney Channel. Lindsay is terrible at sports, but enjoys the idea of running. Lindsay can often be found watching Shark Week on DVD, or in a rehearsal of some sort in the drama building.
Marlene Mendoza- Entertainment Anchor
Marlene Mendoza is a Senior from San Antonio, TX. She is majoring in Communication with a minor in Spanish. She hopes to go into the news broadcasting industry as a reporter. She has interned at the local ABC-affiliate KSAT 12 as a news intern. She likes being up-to-date on current events and political news. She enjoys watching sports especially NFL, College Football and NBA. She loves to attend San Antonio Spurs games, watch Grey’s Anatomy and stay updated on celebrity gossip. This is Marlene’s first year as the Entertainment anchor for Tiger TV’s Newswave.
Hannah Linn- Sports Anchor
Hannah is a sophomore majoring in Communications and minoring in Spanish. She is also involved with the Trinity Track and Field Team as a pole vaulter, is on the Trinity Cheerleading Squad, and is a member of Cross Mountain Church in San Antonio. She also enjoys to sing, dance, and spend time with her family in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Hannah hopes to one day have a television related career and make a difference in the coming generations with her involvement and abilities.
