Volunteer on a
TigerTV Show

TigerTV is always on the look-out for all kinds of help on our departmental
shows. We'd love to have you come help out, whether you want to be on camera,
behind the camera, in the field, in the control room, or editing on one of our
super-cool computers.

If you'd like to work as crew on a TigerTV show, there's a variety of positions for you
to fill--audio board, video mixer, camera, floor manager, or even as an operator on a
call-in show. Of course, there's also the opportunity to be on the screen, whether as an anchor or an in-the-field reporter.

And the best part is you don't need to know the first thing about TV production to volunteer--we'll train you on anything you want to learn. So don't let your uncertainty in a specific area (or all areas) stop you--if you want to work on a TV show, we can make it happen.

If there's one type of show you're especially interested in, we've got you covered there too. We've got departmental shows covering news, music, and campus events.

NEWSWAVE
Newswave is a weekly news show that is broadcast live on TigerTV every Friday at 3:00. It was founded by Trinity graduate and KSAT-12 morning reporter Bianca Valenzuela. Newswave strives to replicate the environment of a professional news broadcast while presenting information that is interesting to the student body.

Students who are interested in getting experience in TV news production can work in front of the camera, as an anchor or field correspondent, or behind the camera as a floor manager, graphics operator, audio technician, or camera operator. Students can gain writing experience as well, in the fields of campus news, local news, state news, national news, politics, entertainment, and sports.

If you're a Trinity student and would like to work on Newswave, the crew call is every Friday at 2:30. To find out more, email the current executive producer of Newswave, Ray Wang.

STUDIO 21
Studio 21 is a weekly music show that is broadcast live on TigerTV every Wednesday at 5:00. The show features local San Antonio bands, but covers music from across the country. Studio 21's hour-long broadcast includes music news, concert updates, music videos, live in-studio performances, and interviews with a wide variety of artists passing through San Antonio.

Studio 21 strives to break new ground, giving students practical experience in all areas of on-air production (audio, camera, floor directing, graphics) and post-production as well as in booking and crewing for live musical acts. It also provides the opportunity to meet and mingle with producers, publicists, managers, and even celebrities!

If you're a Trinity student and would like to work on Studio 21, the crew call is every Wednesday at 4:30. To find out more, email the current executive producer of Studio 21, Adam Cason.

NOT-SO-LATE-SHOW (NSLS)
“The Not-So-Late Show” is a bi-weekly variety show in the tradition of “The Daily Show” and “The Late Show.” Hosted by Dean Tuttle and junior Paige Welborn, it serves to bridge the gap between Trinity students and administration. Want to meet some of the most influential people at Trinity, learn some interesting facts about your fellow students, and get the inside scoop on what's going on on-campus? Is your inner creative side just waiting to be discovered? If so, “The Not-So-Late Show” is for you! Catch us on TigerTV every Monday-Friday at 9:30am and 3:30pm.

Check us out at crew call every Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Also, please attend a crew call if you'd like to audition for our “Stupid Student Tricks” segment. For more information, email the current executive producers, Laura Morgan and Raj Singh .

If you'd like more info on any of these shows (or on other ways to volunteer), drops us an email at TigerTV@Trinity.edu.

Or, if you want to work on a show but these particular programs don't interest you, perhaps you'd like to create your own show...
