Students may select from two types of a German major, depending on whether they want more extensive training in German or a broader experience with supplementary work in a second foreign language. Students often combine the German major with a second major in another language, or in International Studies, History, Economics, Religion, Political Science, or the sciences. The minor in German is also available.
