Lacrosse first came to Trinity University in the Fall of 1988.

The first team was a rag-tag bunch of guys who had played lacrosse in some form during their high school years. The first Trinity Lacrosse scrimmage was versus the University of Texas on the baseball field. With jerseys donated by the football team and just enough pads to go around, TU LAX was born.

The first game was played at the campus football stadium versus LSU in the spring of 1989. A second game was scheduled for the weekend but did not go off due to the opposing team being short players (one of their guys decided to go to Mexico instead).

Intent on building a winning tradition, the team has grown in size and stature over the years - while still recognizing its roots.
