Description
This course is intended for students who are non-science majors who wish to deepen their conceptual understanding of foundational biology and geoscience concepts, and is especially appropriate for students interested in pursuing elementary or middle level teaching careers. The course emphasizes the interdisciplinary application of fundamental scientific principles, practices, and ways of thinking to address questions relevant to the natural world. The course is organized around two driving questions: 1) How has earth changed over time? and 2) How has life changed over time? We will explore these by actively participating in scientific investigations. (Offered every Spring.)
