Description
As you think about your life, from schoolwork to relationships, one of the common themes you'll find is digital storytelling. This course asks students to consider the way knowledge is constructed in their day to day life and their chosen field. The goal of this course is for students to become well-practiced in evaluating digital tools, analyzing their use in professional settings, and creating meaningful digital work based on research. We will explore common tools used to conduct digital research, and construct digital narratives. This includes, but is not limited to: basics of HTML, mapping technologies, audio and video construction, and data visualization. (Offered every Spring.) Prerequisites: Freshman or Sophomore standing only.
