This course is an interdisciplinary introduction to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It examines the biological, historical, sociocultural, political, economic, ethical, and technological dimensions of the current epidemic, drawing from work in anthropology, sociology, the history of science/medicine, philosophy, epidemiology, and public health.
