Students will explore the history and diversity of American literature in English. In addition to an historical survey of American literature, students will take two upper-division courses in American literary genres, movements, and/or major figures.

Requirements

a) Either ENGL-1313 or ENGL-1314
b) At least 6 credit hours of upper-division American literature courses of their choice. Each semester, the Department will designate which upper-division courses cover American literature.

Additional Information

  • A student must complete at least one  Discovery to qualify for graduation

  • Courses in the Discovery must be taken at Trinity University.
  • Students can also fulfill the Discovery requirement by completing a second major or a minor.
