Candidates for a baccalaureate degree must fulfill the requirements for a major as listed in the courses of study bulletin. The courses of study bulletin is the official source of information regarding degree requirements, academic policies, and academic majors and minors at Trinity University.

Pathways Curriculum
-
Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree. The Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor's degrees awarded by Trinity University. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at Trinity and in their post-graduate lives.
Early Book and Manuscript Lab
Undertake original research in premodern literature, and learn how to transcribe and edit previously unpublished manuscripts and early print material.
Fiction and Poetry Writing
Study of the theory, techniques, and practice of poetry writing and fiction writing with an emphasis on short stories.
Seminars on Individual Authors
In-depth study of one or more major figures significant to literary history including Jane Austen, James Joyce, and John Keats.
The Jewish Graphic Novel
A Study of the Jewish graphic novel focusing on the developing history of the genre of the graphic novel and the intersection of visual and textual narratives.
The Harlem Renaissance
An intensive study in the major writers and texts of this early 20th-century African American literary movement.
Digital Approaches to English Literature
Mine texts and quantitative claims, present texts in creative new formats, and access, organize, and process archival material dispersed around the world.
