• Brittany Long is a lecturer who currently teaches General Chemistry courses and labs. She is also the coordinator for General Chemistry Lab. She has a passion for chemistry and is committed to undergraduate education. Long earned her B.S. in chemistry from the University of North Texas and her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Wesleyan University.

Her graduate research was in the area of microwave spectroscopy where she studied the rotational spectra of 1) fluorinated ring structures to understand the effects of fluorination of a molecule and 2) thorium/uranium containing molecules to probe f-electron structure. While she enjoys research, her excitement and love for teaching is what led her to Trinity University where she has been since 2015.
