Summer Bridge FYE
The Summer Bridge First Year Experience (FYE) is a unique opportunity to facilitate the transition to Trinity and introduce new Tigers to college-level academic coursework.
Summer Bridge Math
For students who have expressed interest in STEM degree programs reliant on quantitative reasoning skills (including the sciences, engineering, math, and health professions) and whose math background and/or test scores suggest that they may be at risk to struggle in these programs.
Preparing You to Thrive
Both Summer Bridge programs feature workshops and seminars focused on starting your life at Trinity off strong. Topics covered in these seminars and workshops include:
- Study strategies
- Transitioning to college life
- “Tech @ Trinity”
- Time and task management
- Library resources
- Navigating the Pathways curriculum
- Embracing diversity, inclusion, and community
- Mindfulness and wellness
You will also take part in some orientation and community building activities:
- A campus resources scavenger hunt
- Volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank or other community service
- Getting your Tiger Card (student ID card)
Move-In and Cost Information
An Early Start
Summer Bridge students will move in around early August, before most other students. You will receive more information about move-in day after you accept your invitation to participate in the Summer Bridge program.
You will move into the room that will be your permanent space for the academic year, so be sure to bring all of your personal belongings. Details about your room assignment will be sent to you by Residential Life, typically in mid-July.

There is no charge for the Summer Bridge programs (including housing and three meals a day).
