• Katlyn Alves is the Assistant Director for Experiential Learning: Service Learning & Undergraduate Research. Ms. Alves is a proud first-generation college graduate and first-generation master's graduate. She served for three years as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Campus Compact, developing and supporting campus-community partnerships across the states of New York and Pennsylvania. Ms. Alves uses an equity-centered and intersectionality approach in her work as a higher education community engagement professional. At Trinity, she supports faculty and staff in integrating experiential learning and service-learning into courses, advises the Trinity University Volunteer Action Community (TUVAC) university-sponsored student organization, manages the community federal work-study program, manages the Tiger Breaks (alternative service breaks) program, promotes and supports summer research opportunities, and maintains relationships with community partners. Other interests include student voter engagement, civic engagement, community-based research, and student/community advocacy and activism. 

    Ms. Alves serves on the board of directors for IMPACT National Conference, the largest annual conference on civic and community engagement for college students.
