• Kara Larkan-Skinner serves as the Executive Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, leading the institutional research, assessment, and accreditation activities for Trinity and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

    Prior to joining Trinity in August 2018, Kara held positions of Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at Our Lady of the Lake University; Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Amarillo College; and Research Associate at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, School of Pharmacy. She has over 15 years of experience in the research, assessment, and accreditation fields.

    Kara is active in several professional associations. She frequently serves as a peer reviewer for institutional effectiveness standards with the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). She has served on numerous committees and in leadership roles for the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and Texas AIR (TAIR). She served as an AIR board member from 2015-2018 and as the President of TAIR from 2017-2018.

    As Trinity University's accreditation liaison she is responsible for SACSCOC accreditation. She loves to find ways to turn data into stories, and is an advocate for ensuring data are readily available and are included in decision-making.
