• Soleil Gaffner originally hails from northern Virginia and has come to love San Antonio just as much as her hometown. While attending Trinity, Soleil spent much of her time working in the student-led newspaper, the Trinitonian, and missing the semester she spent abroad in Madrid, Spain. She also worked all 4 years in the Center for Experiential Learning & Career Success, giving her the opportunity to build professional skills while studying. She graduated in 2019 with a double major in Communication and Spanish and a minor in International Studies. After graduation, Soleil worked in San Antonio’s local nonprofit system in a variety of roles. She spent time as an administrator, college access advisor, and grant writer. The skills she learned in these roles solidified her passion for building interpersonal relationships and guiding peers to reach their goals.

In an advising meeting, Soleil will come with tools to help guide a student through difficult decisions, identity exploration, and academic development. She brings a commitment to presenting all possible options to help the student navigate the best pathway to reach their goal. Soleil is the student’s most positive supporter and stalwart ally through their higher education journey. She is dedicated to caring for the student’s whole success, to include mental, emotional, and physical health. Soleil is committed to empowering students to take advantage of all Trinity has to offer.

When not helping students, Soleil spends her time taking care of her pups, reading library books, and visiting coffee shops with friends. At the time of graduation, she was 2 classes away from a film studies minor and continues her studies independently with the help of streaming services. She always appreciates book, TV, and movie
