Lana Mobydeen, Ph.D., J.D.

Dr. Lana Mobydeen is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Trinity University. Before receiving her doctorate, Dr. Mobydeen was a practicing attorney. Dr. Mobydeen's expertise is in Transnational and Comparative Politics and Conflict Analysis and Management. Her research interests include comparative law, comparative migration policy, migration, economic development and human rights. Her current research focuses on migration including examination of the impact of multiculturalism on inclusion in refugee and immigration policy. Dr. Mobydeen is currently working on a book that examines comparative immigration and refugee policy in the United States and Canada.
