• Michael has been a faculty member at Trinity since 2012. He provides information literacy instruction and research consultations for the departments of history, communication, and philosophy, and he regularly teaches Trinity's First-Year Experience, a writing-intensive seminar that prepares students to thrive at the university. He is also serving a three-year term as First-Year Experience Coordinator, overseeing the logistical and budgetary aspects of the program. Michael's research interests include comic book history, print culture, and media fandom. Michael has written for both academic and general readers in publications such as First Monday, the San Antonio Express-NewsPortal: Libraries and the Academy, and VGMO: Video Game Music Online.
