COVID-19 update from Trinity University
Update on Date of Return to Campus for Employees
Important return to work details for Trinity employees

Dear Colleagues:

Due to the sustained rate of COVID cases in our campus community and in San Antonio, we ask that those faculty and staff who can do so continue to work remotely until Monday, Jan. 24th. Our most recent baseline testing yielded a 7% positivity rate, which is the highest we have experienced to date in the pandemic; models indicate the omicron-driven surge should peak around Jan. 20, and we believe this will give more time for cases to be on the decline.

Supervisors are encouraged to work with their teams to ensure continuity in services while de-densifying spaces. While some student athletes and international students have already returned to campus, most students will begin to arrive on campus as scheduled Jan. 25, with classes starting Jan. 31 as planned.

A reminder that baseline testing for all employees is required as we return to work. Please use this link to sign up for a date and time closest to your planned date of return. New dates will be added, so continue to check back. In addition, if you have received a booster shot, please use this form to let the COVID Health Team know.

Finally, if you have symptoms, have tested positive for COVID off campus, or have experienced an exposure to someone who is positive, please contact the COVID Health Team (210-999-8235) at your earliest convenience.

As always, please email Human Resources if you have any questions, or the Nerve Center if you have questions related to COVID care or testing.

Thank you again for your remarkable flexibility, patience and goodwill. Challenges like this remind us that we are truly a community who cares for each other and our students.
