The Department of Biology at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX,  invites applications for a Lecturer (3-year term, depending on qualifications) to serve as laboratory instructor and coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrated teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching at a highly selective undergraduate institution are essential. Trinity University is a small, private liberal arts and sciences university that values high quality undergraduate teaching and supports high impact undergraduate research.

The Department of Biology (https://new.trinity.edu/academics/departments/biology), located in Trinity’s state-of-the-art Center for Sciences and Innovation, has 13 highly collaborative faculty and serves majors in Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Environmental Studies. Trinity is located in San Antonio, a large, vibrant, cosmopolitan city located in south central Texas. San Antonio’s cost of living is relatively low for a major metropolitan area. The typical teaching load is 7 courses per year. Lecturers are fully integrated into the life of the department and are expected to advise students and contribute to departmental service.

  • Experience teaching a diversity of biology laboratories.

Education Requirements

  • Candidates must have an MS or Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field
