Welcome Delegates

We are honored to welcome delegates from various colleges and universities to Trinity University on Saturday, February 11, 2022, for the inauguration of Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D. as our 20th president.
As a delegate/representative, you are specially invited to participate in the academic procession for the Inauguration Ceremony and to attend the all campus reception and luncheon at the conclusion of the investiture.
Once you RSVP you will be emailed detailed instructions regarding your schedule of events on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Parking and Transportation
Handicap Parking
Handicap parking is available on the Orange Level of Laurie Parking Garage.
Guests can then take either elevator to the 3rd-floor foyer and enter Laurie Auditorium from Door 2 or 6. Ushers will be present to accommodate you.
Parking and Campus Map
Best option (recommended):
The University’s primary parking lots are located at Alamo Stadium and Laurie Auditorium, and are likely your best option for parking on the day of the event.
Additional parking:
There is very limited parking near the Chapel and near Dicke Hall. Due to the number of visitors to campus on Saturday, February 11th, we anticipate that parking may present a challenge. If you drive to campus, please park in any non-reserved spot that is available.
Note that parking in handicapped spaces is reserved for those with an appropriate parking pass. Please view the campus map to navigate to these parking areas.
Check-in and Processional Attire
Registration and Check in
Those arriving earlier in the day to attend the Service of Awakening and Reflection at 7:30 a.m. are invited to drop their regalia off at Dicke Hall beginning at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 11.
Regular check in will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Robing Areas and Breakfast
We kindly ask that all Delegates report to Dicke Hall on Saturday, February 11th at 8:00 a.m. to check in and enjoy a continental breakfast with refreshments.
Academic Attire
Please bring proper Regalia for the processional. Selection of outfits to wear under your regalia is entirely at your discretion.
Processional Line Up
All delegates will line up at 9:30 a.m. prior to the start of the processional.

Friday, February 10
7:00 p.m. | Harmony Ignited: Inauguration Concert
Location: Laurie Auditorium
The inaugural showcase concert features two Trinity University ensembles and shows us how imagination brings music to life.
A reception will immediately follow the concert.
Saturday, February 11
7:30 a.m. | Reflection Ignited: Service of Awakening and Reflection
Location: Margarite B. Parker Chapel
The Trinity University chaplain offers a 30-minute service of awakening and reflection in preparation for the investiture’s formal events.
8:00 a.m. | Check-in and Robing for the Academic Procession
Location: Dicke Hall
We kindly ask that all Delegates report to Dicke Hall on Saturday, February 11th at 8:00 a.m. to check in and enjoy a continental breakfast with refreshments.
9:30 a.m. | Procession line-up
Location: Dicke Hall
Prepare to line up for the procession to Laurie Auditorium.
10:00 a.m. | Academic Procession
Delegates will begin the procession from Dicke Hall to Laurie Auditorium for the ceremony.
10:30 a.m. | Investiture Ceremony
Location: Laurie Auditorium
Celebrate the installation of President Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., as Trinity University’s 20th president.
11:45 a.m. | Campus Reception
Location: Magic Stones
The campus reception will take place immediately following the ceremony.
1:00 p.m. | Investiture Luncheon
Location: Laurie Auditorium
Delegates and special guests are invited to join in a celebratory luncheon after the investiture.
