Music unites, music excites, music ignites. Join us for a night of music, performed by our Trinity University students, as we celebrate the inauguration of Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D. The inaugural showcase concert features two Trinity ensembles and shows us how imagination brings music to life. The concert is open to the public and will be immediately followed by a reception.

The inaugural showcase concert features the Trinity Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Trinity University Jazz Ensemble.
Then, the Magic | 8:00 p.m.
A reception to immediately follow at the Magic Stones --- Join us for a surprise in the sky!
The inaugural showcase concert features two Trinity University ensembles.
Trinity Symphonic Wind Ensemble
Directed by: associate professor of music James Worman, Ph.D., featuring soprano Lydia Beasley Kneer, D.M.A.
Trinity’s 65-member wind ensemble performs a wide variety of works, ranging from contemporary pieces to traditional marches, as well as representative works from the standard wind band repertoire. Award-winning student musicians from over 20 different majors comprise this ensemble, which has performed globally and with nationally recognized musicians.
Trinity Jazz Ensemble
Directed by: Brian Christiansen
An 18-member, traditional big band consisting of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums, and guitar), the Jazz Ensemble performs traditional and contemporary styles including swing, bossa nova, ballad, samba, and rock. In addition to campus performances, the Jazz Ensemble performs at events in and around San Antonio.
