One night only! Join Doc Watkins and Strings with the Classical Music Institute Orchestra for an unforgettable night at the Tobin Center. Doc will perform new arrangements of Jazz, TX audience favorites, accompanied by a string orchestra. The program will feature melodies by Gershwin, Debussy, Nat King Cole, Doc Watkins, and more.
Doc Watkins is a pianist, vocalist, bandleader, and the owner of Jazz, TX. He also co-hosts the weekly radio show, “Live at Jazz, TX” which airs Saturday nights on Texas Public Radio. Watkins currently performs over two hundred shows per year with multiple groups under his name and has released seven albums to date, covering multiple genres including Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Texas Swing.
