Mail Center Overview

The Mail Center processes all incoming and outgoing mail for Trinity University’s on-campus students and departments. Additionally, the Mail Center coordinates and offers consultations about a variety of bulk mail projects.

The Mail Center's mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective mail services to the University community. Its main objective is to satisfy customers’ needs and provide the highest level of service to the campus community.

To avoid delivery issues, do not use the following terms in your address: Box, P.O. Box, Rm #, Hall, Bldg. or Ste.

  Your Mailbox

As long as you reside in one of Trinity’s on-campus residence halls (does not include City Vista), you will have a campus mailbox in the Mail Center.

Incoming new domestic students usually receive information about their personal campus mailbox numbers and combinations via email in mid-July. Incoming new international students usually receive their information in June. Your mailbox assignment (box number) will remain the same during your entire time here at Trinity, as long as you reside in the residence halls on campus.

  Mail Processing

Inbound Mail

The United States Postal Service (USPS) delivers incoming mail Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Receive Mail

The Mail Center will sort both your first-class mail (letters and flats) and third-class mail (periodicals, magazines, newspapers, etc.) and deposit it into your student mailbox carrel.

 

Outbound Mail

A USPS postal carrier picks up outgoing mail at the end of each business day.

Send Mail

You can send outgoing mail either directly from inside the Mail Center or from the blue U.S. Postal Service Collection box conveniently located right outside of the Mail Center.

  Package Processing

Upon the delivery of your package, the Mail Services Center will scan the package into an internal tracking system which will automatically send you a delivery confirmation email to your Tmail.

If you have questions about your package’s delivery or status, please contact the Mail Services Center.

New international students may begin to send packages to campus July 1. New domestic students may begin doing so August 1.

  Package Pick-Up

To pick up a package from the Mail Center, you will need  your Tiger Card. It will serve as your signature for the package(s) you pick up.

You will receive a second email confirming that your package has been picked up at the Mail Center.

  Pick Up Your Mail and Packages

The Mail Center is located on the ground floor of the Facilities Services building right outside of Prassel Garage on Kings Court.


Department Mail

The Mail Center provides special mailing services for University departments. These services are not free, but the Mail Center provides competitive pricing and allows for maximum postage discounts and expedited mailing.

Mail Job Services

Services include:

  • Mailing letters, flyers, pamphlets, postcards, periodicals, etc.
  • Sending freight and packages via FedEx and other companies
  • Simple folding
  • Inserting
  • Metering
  • Inkjeting
  • Labeling
  • Address list management
  • Mailing advice and job consultations

In addition, the Mail Center will take care of all of the organization, preparation, documentation, paperwork, and post office deliveries that go into mailing jobs.

Central Receiving Policy

Facilities Services is responsible for all aspects of Central Receiving operations, including the receipt, shipping, and (limited) retail sales of materials and supplies.
