Earth Week Celebrations

To celebrate Earth Week 2023, many student organizations across campus have joined together as the Green Coalition to prepare an array of exciting events for the community. The Green Coalition includes Eco Allies, TU Progressives, Geology Club, Chemistry Club, OREC, Bee Club, and Gardening Club. These groups sponsor, organize, host, and support the events. Join the Green Coalition to celebrate the Earth and to think about how we can be more mindful inhabitants of this planet. 

Wednesday, April 19: 

• 2 – 4 p.m. | Trail Mixer with OREC at the Magic Stones
• 4 – 6 p.m. | ENVI Senior Seminar Presentations in DH 104

Thursday, April 20:

• 3:30 – 5 p.m. | Slackline Hours with OREC by Coates Esplanade
• 4 – 8 p.m. | Campus Trash Pickup with Eco Allies on Coates Esplanade

Friday, April 21:

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Bake Sale with Bee Club at Coates Student Center
• 2 – 4 p.m. | Plant Potting with Gardening Club at the Magic Stones

Saturday, April 22:

• 9 – 11 a.m. | Volunteering at Gardopia Gardens (please RSVP to this event)
• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Earth Day with the City of San Antonio at Woodlawn Park

Sunday, April 23:

• 3:30 – 5 p.m. | Nature Walk in Olmos Park with Christian Life (meet in Margarite B. Parker Chapel parking lot)
