Overview
This interdisciplinary program offers students opportunities to study classical and modern Chinese language and literature, classical civilization and philosophy, contemporary art, the ecology of fengshui, and cinema. In other departments, students can study Chinese history, political science, geoscience, ecology, business, and religion.

Candidates for a baccalaureate degree must fulfill the requirements for a major as listed in the courses of study bulletin. The Courses of Study Bulletin is the official source of information regarding degree requirements, academic policies, and academic majors and minors at Trinity University.

Pathways Curriculum

Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree. The Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor’s degrees awarded by Trinity University. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at Trinity and in their post-graduate lives.
Governance and Public Policy in Contemporary China
A study abroad course covering the most significant issues of contemporary public policy in China and its impact on international business and economics.
Ecology and Bioconservation of China
A study abroad course examining the distribution of flora and fauna in the Pearl River Delta of southeast coastal China and the current human impacts on its native biodiversity.
Field Geology in China
A study abroad field study of the evolution of sedimentary basins and mountain belts in China.
East Asian Heroes
Introduces literary works that have contributed to discourses about heroes in contemporary East Asia.
The Folk Ecology of Fengshui
Delve into the theory and practice of both Form and Compass School fengshui while analyzing the proposition that fengshui is a type of “folk” ecology.
Chinese Religions: Unity and Diversity
Explores Chinese religion through a study of its formative texts and historical evolution.
