Campus Safety

Trinity University Police Department provides around-the-clock coverage on campus, by foot, bike, and vehicle. They’re reachable at any time, from anywhere. 

Trinity has invested in state-of-the-art equipment, training, and resources to protect and secure University data from cyberattacks. 

A trained emergency management team activates emergency response procedures, guided by the National Incident Management System, prepares monthly tests, sends alerts and notifications, and practices scenario tabletop exercises. 

Regular officer patrols occur day and night, emergency blue light phones are across campus, officers are available through TigerTracks to provide courtesy escorts after dark to any dorm or parking lot on campus, and enhanced lighting around campus provides peace of mind.

Mass notification sirens, enhanced cameras and video surveillance, and card access are among the examples of Trinity’s investment in equipment.

The See Say mobile app is used to call TUPD, report incidents around campus, and access safety escort services and in-person or online training programs through our training programs for topics ranging from fire safety to active shooter to first-aid are offered

The Trinity University Holistic Assessment and Response Team (TU HEART) helps identify and respond to students exhibiting concerning, disruptive, or threatening behavior. The team works to support student well-being, promote campus safety, and address behaviors that may impact the health, safety, or educational experience of the university community.
