A native of Phoenix, Arizona, she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration (finance and management) from Trinity University. Dr. Thompson received her M.S. in higher education administration from the University of Kansas and completed her doctorate of education (Ed.D) from the University of Southern California in Organizational Change & Leadership. Dr. Thompson's higher education experiences include student activities, leadership development, assessment, fraternity & sorority life, and Student Government Association at Trinity University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Kansas. Dr. Thompson supports the Division of Student Affairs by leading assessment, professional development, and strategic planning, as well as implementing signature programs such as GNED 1111, voter engagement, and strengths education. She collaborates with colleagues across the institution to enhance the student journey and remove obstacles to student success.
