About
The Laurie Auditorium building plays an important role in both campus and community life. It is the largest venue on campus seating 2,709 spectators. Inside, you'll find the Sid W. Richardson Communications Center, KRTU-97.1 FM, Tiger TV, and the Department of Communications. Trinity's spring and winter commencement ceremonies are held in Laurie Auditorium each year.
Trinity-sponsored lectures and events are open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the San Antonio community.

The box office and will call area is located in the Lower East Lobby.

Inside the Auditorium
Laurie Auditorium is an amphitheatre design with a wide stage that allows for excellent sight lines throughout the hall.
Sid W. Richardson Communications Center
The Sid W. Richardson Communications Center houses the Department of Communication as well as student-run media operations. Students have access to an interactive multimedia lab, two television stations with control rooms, and the students for KRTU-FM.
Cutting edge media facilities include high definition, digital radio and television stations as well as state-of-of-the-art work stations for digital design, journalism, and gaming.


New Student Convocation
The new student convocation is a formal academic ceremony that mirrors graduation four years later. This interactive program is held during New Student Orientation.

Signing of the Honor Code
During new student convocation, students sign the academic honor code along with all of their peers.

Trinity in Focus
High school students and their families are invited to take a comprehensive look at Trinity's campus. Many informational sessions are held in Laurie Auditorium during Trinity in Focus.

Career Fair
The career fair hosts over 50 employers on campus who will share their job and internship openings with Trinity University students. It is open to All years and All majors.

Momentum
The University's largest annual student-run dance production, Momentum features dance groups who perform in genres from tap to hip-hop. Tickets are required for this popular event.

Diwali
Diwali, also called the "festival of lights," is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year. All students are welcome to participate in this time-honored Trinity tradition.
Spotlight
Spotlight Talent Show is the annual campus-wide talent show held during Spring Family Weekend. Expect performances from dancers, singers, artists... and maybe even roller-skaters!
Trinity Idol
At Trinity's own "Idol" contest, Trinity students compete for the coveted title in Laurie Auditorium in front of 600+ audience members.

Commencement
The undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies create moments for each graduate as doors open up to new beginnings and new journeys filled with promise.

Parking and Accessibility
General Parking
The Laurie Auditorium Parking Garage has designated levels for permit holders and visitor parking on the Orange level and Lot B. TUPD is available and onsite during every event to help guide to the appropriate parking areas.

Laurie Auditorium Parking Garage has elevators and has accessible parking spaces available on all levels.
Reserved Seating
Reserved wheelchair and accessible seating in all the venues.
Assisted Listening Devices
Devices may be obtained free of charge at the box office prior to the event, but patrons are required to leave a photo ID, to be claimed upon return of the device.
Closed Captioning
Closed Captioning available for certain performances.
Ramps
Laurie Auditorium is wheelchair accessible at all building entrances. There are two wheelchair ramps, one is located on the west side of the auditorium, closest to the library and the other is located in the courtyard.
Elevators
There are two elevators located in the auditorium with braille signage. One located near the east end of the auditorium and the other is located at the main center of the auditorium.
